Display Modes

This page aims to explain the function of the display modes selectable in Slide. In each visualisation the gray box represents the image, and the blue border the monitor. The same images and monitors are used for each visualisation.

None:

The image is printed to the screen from the top left corner with no repositioning or resizing.

Centered:

The image is printed to the screen from the center with no resizing.

Fill:

The image is resized to fill the screen whilst maintaining aspect ratio.

Fill and Center:

The image is resized to fill the screen whilst maintaining aspect ratio, then centered.

Fit:

The image is resized to fit the screen whilst maintaining aspect ratio.

Fit and Center:

The image is resized to fit the screen whilst maintaining aspect ratio, then centered.

Stretch:

The image is resized to fit the screen exactly, modifying image aspect ratio if required.

Span:

One image is resized to span across both monitors. Note that this applies to the span mode selectable from the mode dropdown when advanced multi monitor options is disabled. The span mode that can be selected when advanced multi monitor options is enabled is slightly more complex.
